Discussion

  • Bruno presented the changes made to the KMS Conceptual Architecture based on our discussion last week
    • Diagram tweak to clarify and reflect the different interactions (App -> OW; OW -> KMS's)
    • Added the suggested on-going W3C standards being spec'ed (WebKMS, UniversalWallet)
    • Small note on PKCS#11 v3.0 (new version supports EdDSA, Edwards Curves, Curve25519)
  • Question was asked about whether the Universal Wallet API supports everything that we would want in an OpenWallet-supported wallet
    • Ask Orie to present on the Universal Wallet API
  • Discussion regarding the different cryptographic algorithms and whether wallets that require all keys be stored in hardware is a good choice
    • Add information to the PR to reflect the different cryptographic algorithms supported by hardware
    • Add crypto agility as a principle
