Minutes:

  • Event deregister currently has a bug in it that all handlers for that event get deregistered instead of the one specified handler.
  • The tool RFC contains the query interface. At present it only supports query of current namespaces. SCR needs to be able to query the list of current nodes, this request is on Ralph's list of to dos.
  • The MCA plugin system that Ralph is working on will be used for security, dstore and internode communication. Shared memory dstore supports exists today, there is a proposal to put support for DHT dstore that will be accessed off nodes is being worked out with a potential university community member.
  • Shared memory files will require the PMIx server to open up the security permissions door to allow access just as sockets. For sockets there is a way to put some checks in place (a security handshake) to control access to the back door but we need to understand the implications on softening permissions for shared memory files.
