Minutes:

  • Ralph has mca dynamic plugin system ready resolving naming conflict with ompi by prefixing with pmix
  • Ralph has created sample code for using pmix tool to spawn and attach debugger which is being tested by the debugger group.
  • Microsoft will write their own windows pmix server to support debugger launch
  • Fujitsu also working on their pmix server could be their own or a plugin in the existing pmix
  • PMIx_get optimization by imposing rules on keys so the library can recognize which hash table to search for results in faster search 70 ms to 10ms. Refer to get optimization pull request for more details.
  • multi versions of pmix server POC works only if the different versions of pmix lib are named differently because the underlying sym link/rpath doesn’t work if everything is named pmix. Multiple versions of api is another approach. Community will play more and resolve what works for different RMs.
