##PMIx Developers Meeting

Attendees:

Minutes:

  • PMIx versioning - Ralph to send out RFC for a proposed method to handle versioning using AC_CHECK.
  • Outstanding RFCs/issues
    • Calling all PMIx developers to review and start using the newly placed RFC process. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome. The RFC process will also enable us to generate some documentation.
    • RFC for event notification changes -Ralph
    • RFC for flexible allocation APIs - Annu.
  • Mellanox testing PMIx with openMPI in direct mode (SLURM plugin) and indirect mode (ORTE PMIx server) - seeing some failures. Artem will be investigating further - suspecting failures are due to SLURM plugin.
  • PMIx version 1.1.4 to be released soon (early May) upon IBM’s request.
    • Version 1.1.4 = version 1.1.3 + bug fixes.
  • Adoption of PMIx by the debugger group is in progress.
  • Microsoft will be looking into porting PMIx to Windows to enable the debugger support. According to Ralph much of the porting effort will involve making the sockets API work in windows.
