Feature details and questions

  • Curb Objects

  • Enforcement

  • Payment Methods

  • Real time push Events

  • External References

  • Policy Color

    • How many combos are around? Fields are optional. Pulled from Seattle to start and other cities too to cover 99% of what's out there. Colors are not defined, each city can define their own. Not a finite combination of colors.
  • Vehicle Properties

  • (Michael having internet connection issues...)

  • Computer Vision - edge detection, so need confidence levels. One confidence level for plates, most other vehicle fields get a level. Vehicle properties will be broken out into their own Vehicle objects in a future breaking release, like 2.0.

  • Curb Polylines

  • 00:36:16 Andrew Glass Hastings (OMF): One note about the Curb Collaborative - Michael mentioned at the top of the call that many of these CDS changes came directly from the real-world experience of the Curb Collab cities’ implementation of CDS. This is an incredibly valuable feedback loop to make the spec better!

  • We want to build on this momentum and convene the next Curb Collaborative cohort of cities - this time international - from US, Canada and Europe. The Collab will be a forum for cities to share and learn with each other in virtual and in-person meetings as they digitize their curbs using CDS.

  • If you or your city/agency/MPO are interested in learning more about the next Curb Collaborative please send me a note at [email protected]

  • 00:52:01 Brian Hamlin (Seattle DOT): Michael is the real MVP here. Makes everything look very easy but it's a lot of work

  • 00:52:22 Michael Schwartz (INRIX): Reacted to "Michael is the real ..." with ❤️

  • 00:52:28 Johan Høgåsen-Hallesby (Beta Mobility): Re: The question on use-cases. Particularly excited about the addition of ‘Curb Objects’.

  • Context: We’re currently running an AI-model on time series of aerial photos identifying stranded assets in public space (i.e. parked boat trailer on a public road). Mapping the known and expected objects next to the “unwanted” ones will make for an interesting analysis.
