Creating Use Cases
- Find stories in the news or from personal experience and capture them in use cases
- Domain name ownership & transfer
- Interesting experiences with less broadly used TLDs and domain registrar interactions
- For a legacy contact, need to assign domain to a legal entity like a trust

Create educational materials ahead of Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025
- Dean wrote a proposal, if there is no feedback he will sync with Gail on next steps.
- October is both this event and the Authenticate conference -- and IIW
- Proposal is to prepare a whitepaper and also guidance for dealing with popular websites and use cases
- Consider taking a layered approach: guidance targeted to individuals, solution providers, etc. -- could depend on cycles available
- Tim in chat: "I agree / support Victor's earlier suggestion about constructively expanding the perspectives considered for proposed paper/analysis - "bigger picture" (vis a vis DADE) + variety of cultures and contexts and different relationships to the subject-matter"
- Cultural context presents interesting challenges here
- Dean wrote a proposal, if there is no feedback he will sync with Gail on next steps.
-
Create a short questionnaire regarding the legal/regulatory landscape
- Pending information from members of the legal / political community
- On our last call it was suggested that we use the recent Executive Order on cryptocurrency from POTUS as a hook to engage US politicians on this issue.
- Currently no well-defined mechanisms for handling such assets when someone passes away
-
DADE Wiki - We have a GitHub wiki that needs to be refactored, looking for volunteers.
- Create pages for resources
- Organize use cases currently captured in issues
- Navigation
-
Document known mechanisms for legacy contacts on large providers - Dean has added a template and a handful of providers. DADE members are encouraged to document their own experiences.
- Please add additional services as pull requests. Having this information will help the CG deliver educational materials. If you have trouble with making a PR, please reach out to the cochairs for help.

Any Other Business
- EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) -- requires supply chain partners to be verified
- If a "leftover" account gets taken over by someone new, what happens?
- Transfer of responsibilities and privileges is the general case, e.g. someone leaving a company
- NIS2 implications?
- Mark H and Eve are meeting next week for "DADE book club" and will report back
- Mark's eKYC expertise will surely be relevant
