Tool Platform Analysis - openETCS/model-evaluation GitHub Wiki
Scope
This project aim at identifying and evaluating the existing tool platforms. The experiences with the tool platforms will be recorded and the tools will be evaluated against the requirements from WP2. In particular, the compliance of the candidate tool platforms with respect to EN50128 constraints will be investigated.
Description
The tool platform provides mechanisms to integrate various tools that must work together seamlessly. The goal of this project is to report on the tool platform capabilities such as the level of interoperability between tools within the platform candidate, the data interface exchange between tools (XML, JSON ...) if any, the integration by plug-in (or not), the ability to have tools that converse/interact using a standardized (low-level) syntax. the link between different view of the model ... or on basic services such as serialization, versioning, multiple-user development... As with modeling tools, tool platforms will be evaluated against WP2 requirements project, including in particular compliance against EN50128 constraints.
List of requirements
First draft of top-level requirements list has been proposed by Jonas Helming. The people working on the model evaluation are invited to extend this list. It will be then communicate to WP2.
Review process
The review process has not been stated yet, nevertheless there is already volunteered reviewers.
