Attribute PDU

The Attribute PDU serves two functions. It is a means to extending a PDU with additional information not defined in the PDU itself. It may also be used to communicate attributes that are not associated with a specific PDU type. The attribute PDU contains the following information:

Identification of the originating simulation

Identification of the PDU type to which the Attribute records apply

Identification of the Protocol Version of the PDU type

Identification of the Master Attribute Record Type, if only one record type appears in all Attribute records

An indication of the action that this Attribute PDU represents

One or more Attribute Record Sets, one Entity or Object ID per set (Attribute Record Sets contain the entity or object ID to which all Attribute records in the set apply and one or more Attribute records)
