Lowering the bar Proposed achievements - onivim/oni GitHub Wiki

We're looking at creating a set of 'achievements' , per the discussion in #1135: https://github.com/onivim/oni/issues/1135

The goal for achievements is to improve discoverability - making it easy for users to find new functionality they might not have been aware existed in Oni.

Here's a few ideas for achievements:

  • Welcome:
    • Open Oni for the first time. (This will show users that achievements are part of the editor).
  • Tinkerer
    • Edit configuration successfully.
  • Vimfidel
    • Use the mouse in Oni.
    • Use arrow keys in Oni.
  • Sneaky beaky
    • Open sneak mode
    • Sneak into an explorer window
    • Sneak into a browser window
  • General relativity
    • Set relativenumbers
    • Use a relative linewise motion 5x
