About real chip feature - onitama/mucom88 GitHub Wiki

MUCOM88 Windows supports the actual FM sound chip (YM2608 or YM2203) performance via SCCI (Sound Chip Common Interface). The included SCCI system DLL supports the following hardware with an actual chip (YM2608/YM2203).

SPFM FM Tower
SPFM Light

G.I.M.I.C.
C86BOX

For the use of actual chips, please refer to the latest SCCI related information.

MUCOM88 To use SCCI from Windows, go to Menu > Options and turn on the "Use SCCI" checkbox, then restart the tool. (The SCCI option will be activated when the tool is started again.)

In order to actually use it, it is necessary to configure SCCI first with the hardware connected to the PC. You can launch the SCCI settings menu by clicking the "SCCI Settings" button in Menu > Options. (You can also launch it from scciconfig.exe)

When SCCI is used, FM playback is not performed on Windows, but only on an external chip.
