Read the relevant sections of Price's thesis and have some confusion about his second order differencing.
Not clear to me how he is setting up his boundary conditions. Didn't spend a ton of time on it because it isn't super important for me, but would be good to know
Created infinite lattice of fuel element of EU reactor, as discussed
Seems to be quite subcritical
Probably need some review of the boundary I imposed to make sure that's how it's meant to work
Braden
Primary Focus is school work and drafting the journal Article.
Important Note from conference: We correctly Identified Te as one of the next most important additions to the database, some of the members of the group working on adding the necessary Te data were impressed that we had it as a conclusion of our work.
Will set up Bi-weekly meeting once I have my work schedule.
Plans for next Week
Alex
Thesis
I will be here next week and every week after that.
Figure out the Sherwood number from the resources that Braden provided so kindly
Use those values to create my first mass transfer-coupled Bateman system!
Probably start with the bubbles as that seems easier
SAPR
Figure out why the k-eff is super low for the reactor model I created
Likely a result of boundary conditions or material definitions, but they seem fine..
Braden
I will not be here next week or any week after that. But plan to continue work on these projects until the TeraPower-UT collaboration is more clearly defined.
