PM BA Approach - odoo-ps/pshk-process GitHub Wiki
Add an introduction: most of the QS projects are normally handled by one consultant but sometimes an approach with 2 consultants might be required or might be a good opportunity for the evolution of each of them.
Working together is different from what we are used to and this document aims to provide guidelines and answer to the questions you may ask yourself, either if you have the Project Manager (Project Manager) or Business Analysis (BA) role
When should we consider the Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA) approach to implement a project?
When a consultant reaches a certain level of maturity(=BA) and she/he must continue her/his learning process along with more experienced consultants(=PM). Moreover, with the PM/BA approach the BA would feel more confident and has a big opportunity to learn faster, especially if it's one of his first projects.
More than that, when a consultant has acquired experience through her/his projects and she/he is able to share it with other consultants.
This approach has to be considered as well to start a more complex project, with the aim of completely transferring it to the BA. This allows more experienced consultants to be involved on bigger projects, while giving them the time to handle other projects simultaneously.
Given the importance and the deadline of the project, it is impossible for this kind of project to be done by one and the same person. With two people on a project, it will be delivered faster and will meet the client's expectations.
The PM/BA approach is very useful so that the BA can participate in a larger project with larger scopes without having directly full responsibility for the project. It will help the BA to address the project without the constraints of stress, lack of experience, etc.
