Next KMIP F2F Meeting
- Discussion was held about having a KMIP F2F meeting next year at either RSA (March 23-26) or ICMC (April 20-23).
Motion for a half day face to face meeting the day after either RSA 2026 or ICMC 2026.

There were no preferences stated during the discussion as to which conference to have the meeting at. Tim H will send an email to the list to get feedback from those not at the meeting.
New Business
PKCS#11 update on ML-DSA external-mu
- PKCS#11 reached consensus on how to allow signing with user provided external-mu. There was no consensus on what interface would be used for creating external-mu. PKCS#11 is discussing two proposals: -- Model external-mu creation as a digest operation -- Create a new interface
- Tim H said in the PKCS#11 meeting that KMIP will probably the approach that PKCS#11 settles on in terms of how to model it. KMIP currently does not have a create external-mu interface.
- Tim H asked if we should hold up KMIP 3.0 while waiting for PKCS#11 to make a decision. Judy stated that its not material to KMIP 3.0.
- Tim H said that if PKCS#11 reaches a clear consensus at their next meeting, he will propose the equivalent KMIP spec change. Otherwise he will propose both options to the TC for consideration. Judy and Bruce agreed.
Next Meeting
- Next TC Meeting: November 20, 2025
- The Dec 4 meeting will be moved to Dec 11 due to schedule conflicts.
- The Dec 18 meeting will be cancelled for the holidays.
- Meetings will resume Jan 15, 2026. The normal meeting schedule will resume after that.
