Motion to approve previous meeting minutes from March 13, 2025
- Tim H moves, Tim C seconds. No objections, abstentions, or comments. Minutes for the March 13, 2025 meeting are approved.
Review of KMIP 3.0 Work List
- KMIP 3.0 Work List was reviewed.
- Greg went through all the approved proposals and matched them up to a document and the meeting in which they were approved.
- LMS and XMSS Signatures will be deferred to KMIP 3.1 per Tim H. Tim C and Greg agree.
- Hash then Sign can be dropped per Judy as this is being addressed as part of each post quantum algorithm implementation.
- Greg will move LMS and XMSS Signatures and Other System Objects to KMIP 3.1 Work List
- The outstanding public comments on the KMIP Spec were discussed:
- Cryptographic usage mask after key revocation
- During the discussion, it was determined that this was addressed in the KMIP Spec when the question was asked, but a response to the comment was not sent. Email response was prepared and sent during the meeting.

- Alternative/Alternate failover endpoints naming
- In the discussion, it was decided that "Alternate Failover Endpoints" is the correct name and will be corrected in KMIP 3.0.

KMIP 3.0 Status Update
KMIP 3.0 Profiles/Test Cases
- There were no updates for the profiles and test cases.
KMIP 3.0 Specification
Greg uploaded the KMIP Spec V3.0 WD20 Markup to the OASIS documents prior to the meeting which changed the Split Key reference to the SAM TC Specification.
Motion to approve KMIP Spec v3.0 WD20.
- Tim H moves, Greg and Tony C seconds. No objections, abstentions, or comments. Motion approved.
KMIP 3.0 Usage Guide
- Judy is waiting for the proposal submitters to send in their usage guide updates.
- Tim H will go through the proposals from people no longer in the TC and write any necessary usage guide material.
- Tim H and Judy discussed what level of Usage Guide text for PQC should be included. It was decided to introduce PQC and its concepts and reference NIST and other relevant sites for further information.
