KMIP 3.0 Status Updates

KMIP 3.0 Specification

• There were no updates.

KMIP 3.0 Profiles/Test Cases

• There were no updates.

KMIP 3.0 Usage Guide

• There were no updates.

TLS Client Auth Extended Key Usage

• The previous discussion in the last TC meeting about Google Chrome's plan to remove any CA that issues certificates with clientauth extended key usage was continued.
• The TC agreed that a response to reconsider the decision from the TC was warrented given the negative impact that the decision would have on the users of the KMIP specification.

Motion for the KMIP TC co-chairs to draft a response regarding the decision and its impact.

• Judy and Tim H moves, Tim C seconds. No objections, abstentions, or comments. Motion approved.

New Business

TC Business

• TC Admin has updated both the KMIP TC main page and the roster with Tim H replacing Greg as a co-chair.
• Judy and Tim H will review the content on the main page to remove broken links and refresh the content as needed.

KMIP Comment

• The topic posted to the KMIP Comments List, Minor issues with kmip2.0 spec html, was reviewed.
• The raised issues were checked to see if they are in 3.0.
  1. The table label has the typo but the content in the table is correct.
  2. There is a typo, it should be "Alternate failover endpoints" and not Alternative.
  3. Tim H will do further research on it.
  4. The typo does not exist in 3.0
• Tim H will update the 3.0 Spec accordingly.
• No errata will be done for KMIP 2.0.
• Judy will reply to the comment reflecting the decisions made.

KMIP GitHub Issue

• The issue opened in the KMIP GitHub repo, Kmip2.1 html spec is cutoff halfway, was reviewed.
• It was confirmed that the spec was cut off at the end.
• Judy will email TC Admin to have it fixed.
• Tim H will reply back to the issue.
