KMIP 3.0 Specification
Greg is waiting for updates from the test cases and profiles for specification changes.
KMIP 3.0 Usage Guide
Judy F is waiting for the updates to the Spec, Profiles, and Test Cases and for additional Usage Guide content.
Use of GitHub
The KMIP TC continues to have issues with the Wiki, particularly with people getting access.
The KMIP TC does have access to a GitHub repository that we could leverage. Other TCs have been using GitHub for minutes and tracking.
Greg will talk to TC Admin about the process to get other KMIP TC members access to the repository.
NIST PQC
There is an open question as to who has the action to review the PQC Algorithm FIPS and/or if we need to do anything to KMIP Key Block for KEMs.
At the December 14, 2023 TC meeting, there was a motion to include the PQC identifiers in the KMIP 3.0 spec but we would have to wait for NIST to release the final versions to get the identifiers.
It was discussed having the Spec, Profiles, and Test Cases finalized so they are ready to incorporate the final information from NIST.
The minimum for inclusion into 3.0 still needs to be determined.
New Business
Tony C has been working on identifying the process to get KMIP 3.0 to the public review stage for ICMC in September and is following up with OASIS Admin.
The process to go to public review requires support from TC Admin. A full majority vote is needed to go to committee spec draft. From there a full majority vote is needed to take it to public review. We can go through as many public reviews as are necessary.
Working backwards, we would need to have the voting for committee spec draft done and requests to TC Admin in by the 2nd or 3rd week in August.
