KMIP 3.0 Status Updates

KMIP 3.0 Specification

  • Tim H uploaded KMIP 3.0 Spec WD21 for review.
  • The new working draft covers all items discussed at previous TC meetings.

KMIP 3.0 Profiles/Test Cases

  • Tim H uploaded KMIP 3.0 Profiles/Test Cases WD8 for review.
  • The new working draft covers items discussed at previous TC meetings.
  • Tim H is working on updates for the structure of the test cases, post quantum testing, and PKCS#11 encoding sections.

KMIP 3.0 Usage Guide

  • Judy uploaded KMIP 3.0 Usage Guide WD2 for review.
  • The new working draft covers updates including cleanup of old capabilities, the move of the elliptic curve mapping table to the spec, and comments marking sections for further review.
  • Judy is working on incorporating the rest of the new content provided by Tim H along with post quantum cryptography content into the next working draft.
  • Judy and Tim H discussed moving additional content to the spec. The content will be discussed in the next meeting.

KMIP F2F Planning

  • The F2F will be Friday April 24, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm ET.
  • Tim H is working on the location.
  • A link to the F2F meeting will be available for those unable to attend in person.
