Connect with the NVDA Community

There are many vibrant and welcoming communities around the world dedicated to NVDA, and in many different languages. If you know of any not listed here, please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can add them. All community members are expected to follow the NVDA Citizen and Contributor Code of Conduct.

NVDA Mailing list

The official NVDA User Group mailing list. You can join the list through the web interface (or at the easier to remember link: https://nvaccess.org/nvda-users, or send a blank email to: [email protected]. For language-specific groups, please see the links below (Resources for specific languages).

We also have a mailing list to discuss add-ons, and a mailing list to discuss NVDA development. You can also discuss NVDA development on GitHub. GitHub discussions are particularly useful for talking through development ideas before they are formed distinctly enough to create an issue on GitHub.

Please note, the user mailing list is independently run and is not moderated by NV Access. It is run by NVDA users, for NVDA users. Official NV Access newsletters containing notifications of new NVDA versions, blog posts and other organisational news are available from https://nvaccess.org/newsletter.

Mastodon

Follow NV Access on Mastodon. You can also follow the #NVDA or #NVDASR hashtags. Adding the "SR" was popular on Twitter because there was a lot of crypto spam and references to the NVIDIA stock ticker. It's better on Mastodon but a lot of people still add the extra letters out of habit. You can Join Mastodon here.

RBlind / Lemmy

While not exclusive to NVDA, RBlind is a popular forum on various blindness topics and very enthusiastic for NVDA. This group was formed as a replacement for the old Reddit of the same name.

Resources for specific languages

Since the creation of NVDA, the community has created a number of independent websites, blogs and mailing lists to discuss all issues related to NVDA in their native languages. The following list shows those web resources in alphabetical order.
