Aside from the menu bar and toolbar at the top and the docked windows at the bottom, the main window of the Tome editor is divided into two parts.

This is commonly referred to as the master-detail pattern: You can select a record in the record tree to the left, and view and edit its values in the record table to the right.

Records Tree

The Records Tree to the left shows all records of your project. Select any record in the tree view to show its data in the Record Table.

Record Table

While you have any record selected in the Records Tree, the Record Table to the right will show all fields of that record, along with their respective values (and a short description, if turned on in the user settings). You can double-click on any of these fields to change its value.
