Details

These are the characteristics of two programs that show that package A and package B are two versions of the same package and not two distinct packages:

• the same name or very similar names
• the same vendor
• increasing version numbers
• package A will not be developed anymore and package B development has just started
• existing dependencies on at least package A where also package B is allowed
