| Has the Broadcast Receiver gone? | Yes, all Broadcast Receivers have been replaced with Callbacks in v2. You can find out more about this here. |
| What will keep the app alive to receive these callbacks? | In v2 there is a Foreground Service that is tied to your application. In theory, even when swiping away the app from recents, you should still receive the download notifications. If you are performing any heavy processing after receiving these events you should move this into your own service etc as there is no guarantee that the download-manager service will continue to exist. |
