Auker is a Design System

We are at the advent of the fourth industrial revolution and the development of the Smart Factory. With technology becoming more ubiquitous and the manufacturing workforce getting younger there is an opportunity to integrate modern innovative design principles and standards to existing and new digital products used on the factory floor.

Legacy applications such as ERP systems, HMI's, SCADA controllers, etc can be designed to be universally accessible with a focus on the user.

Auker is taking it's first steps. We are currently brainstorming, testing ideas, and developing our core values and identity.

Who We Are

Auker is being developed by Andrew Weiss is collaboration with a distributed team of designers, developers, and makers. We are testing our ideas on factory floors, control rooms, and production lines, gathering as much feedback as possible before the next phase.

What is the next phase?

As Auker matures we will release our initial standards and design guidelines as well as a complete toolkit to utilize them, all under the MIT license for complete open source use . We will then formalize our group, and seek out new team members, potential partners and funding opportunities with the ultimate goal of a widely used, and adaptable open source design system for Industry 4.0 and the Smart Factory.
