Copper Jammer - northwesttrees-gaming/cctvcraft5 GitHub Wiki
Overview
The Copper Jammer block is used to disrupt camera connections, temporarily turning off the camera and preventing people from viewing the camera's location.
Oxidization
Copper Jammers, over time, will oxidize. This impacts the range, cutting the range in half each time it weathers. The effects can be reversed by right-clicking on the block with any axe.
Oxidization time depends on the block stage of oxidation. Copper Jammers have the most resistance, taking 72000 game ticks or 3 days without sleeping to change to the exposed stage. The exposed stage has 48000 ticks or 2 days without sleeping, The weathered stage has 24000 ticks without sleeping. And the oxidized version will not progress.
Jamming Distance
As mentioned above, the oxidation stage will impact the radius that the jammer can disable cameras. Copper Jammers have a radius of 64 blocks. Exposed Copper Jammers have a radius of 32 blocks. Weathered Copper Jammers have a radius of 16 blocks, and Oxidized Copper Jammers have a radius of 0 blocks.
On/Off States
Right-clicking on the block will toggle the copper jammer on and off. When in the on state, cameras will, over time, detect the jammer being in the on state and then become disabled. Turning off the jammer will, over time, restore the state of the camera to the state before it was disabled.
Breaking
Breaking a Copper Jammer requires a stone pickaxe or better. When the block is dropped, the oxidation properties are stored as well as the remaining time for the block to change states. Breaking this block also takes some time to break, so it's recommended to have an Iron or better tool to break the block.
