The Hand Saw is an item that can be used in a crafting table to convert Planks into Wooden Boards.
Wooden Boards are a resource used in some recipes that require wood materials.

Durability

Durability in 4.6.0 and 4.7.0 was 192, this however changed to 150 durability in 4.8.0. The item will take one damage each time it crafts wooden boards in the crafting table inventory.
