Adding new switches

Using remote control

• Open the homebridge log
• Press a button on the remote control
• Observe the log and see switch messages appear
• Enter values for new switch in web interface or config.json
• Restart Homebridge

Using predefined codes (ESPiLight mode, no remote)

If you know what codes you want to use for the switch, you can just add them to homebridge. See this info on PiLight message types and id/unit values.

• Add switches and the corresponding message type, id and unit through the web interface or config.json
• Restart Homebridge
• Toggle new switch in HomeKit to let the hardware plug learn the code
  • un- and re-plugging the plug puts them in learn mode for 80% of the cheap ones
