Ghazghkull Thraka Datasheet Changes - normanthesquid/wh40k-fundapocalypse GitHub Wiki

Ghazghkull Thraka's datasheet has changed a lot. Unlike Ragnar or Mepthiston, where we just made "Primaris" an option, we decided to treat Ghaz as a new unit. We renamed his old datasheet "Puny Ghazghkull Thraka".

Ghaz's defensive profile is very similar to a tyranid monster - we used the Toxicrene as a base for his wounds and save.

We kept his PL the same as in 9e - 15.

Gork's Klaw is similar to a Haruspex's Shovelling Claws - S:14, AP almost the same at -3 for the Claws, compared to -4 for the Klaw, and the damage close mathematically at d6 for the Claws and flat 4 for the Klaw. Ghaz does have 1 more attack, so we will increase the SAP by 1, but leave the profile unchanged otherwise.

Mork's Roar is similar to a Trygon Prime's Bio-electric pulse. We will reuse that profile - the only change it needs is the range, since AP -1 is normally not enough to make a difference.

"Goffs is da Best" is the same as the Waaagh! ability on the Puny datasheet, so we will reuse it here.

Abilities like "Grand Warboss" do not appear to exist in Apocalypse. We are omitting this for now, but may include it in the future.

"Great Waaagh!" also has an equivalent on the Puny datasheet, so we will reuse it here.

"Mob Rule" and "The Boss is Watchin'" does not appear to exist on datasheets in Apocalypse. We will skip them.

Reroll charge abilities seem to be modeled as +1" movement, so we will make Ghaz's base move 8"

We will reuse his 9e PL - 15.

Prophet of Gork and Mork

This ability is the real catch. Since the phases don't exist in the same way in Apocalypse, it is not clear how "only loses 4 wounds per phase" should translate. We will be playtesting different versions of this ability over time. The current one is

"When placing blast markers next to this unit, if it has a small blast marker next to it, place one small blast marker instead of replacing the existing one with a large blast marker. When placing blast markers next to this unit, if it has two small blast markers next to it, replace them both with one large blast marker."

This is overly wordy, but just means that he gets big blasts every 3 blasts, instead of every 2 blasts. We have no idea if this is overpowered or not.
