The Cryptek got a major makeover in 9e, and is now 4 different models. We made them all cost 4PL to match 9e.

Technomancer

Half the old Cryptek. We just renamed it, removed the Chronometron ability, changed the save to 8+ instead of 7+ (its not clear why it had a 7+ save to begin with), gave it the Canoptek Cloak/Canoptek Control Node options. We also made the Canoptek Cloak ability cost 1 PL, which is the standard for things that add Fly.

Chronomancer

The other half of the old Cryptek. Renamed, removed the Technomancer ability, and set the PL to 4. We Decided to just leave the weapon as the "Staff of Light" since HQ weapon options are mostly removed/reduced in 9e, and we are lazy. We let the Chronomancer keep the weird 7+ save, since it has a Timesplinter Mantle in 9e.

Psychomancer

We used the same base profile from the Cryptek, including just keeping the "Staff of Light". Other than that, the Psychomancer has a pretty unique set of abilities.

Harbinger of Despair

In 9e, this ability allows you to do a leadership test, then apply a debuff. Since that kind of complexity would slow down a game of Apocalypse, we decided to simplify it to an aura with 2 of the choices always on, but with half the range - a movement debuff and a -1 to hit, to cover the "Overwatch" ability.

Nightmare Shroud

This one was simpler - just a leadership debuff aura.

Plasmancer

We used the same base profile from the Cryptek, including just keeping the "Staff of Light". Other than that, the Plasmancer abilities were pretty straightforward, and we just "Apoc-ified" them a little.
