Bladeguard Veteran Squad Datasheet Changes - normanthesquid/wh40k-fundapocalypse GitHub Wiki

This datasheet was created by comparing the Intercessor Squad and Bladeguard Veteran Squad datasheets

Unit Profile

The M, WS, and BS match Intercessors

An Intercessor Squad in 9e has 11 attacks (5 models x 2 attacks per model, + 1 for the sergeant) A Bladeguard Veteran Squad in 9e has 10 attacks (3 models x 3 attacks per model, + 1 for the sergeant) This is close enough to say the attacks should match in Apocalypse as well (1/2).

An Intercessor Squad in 9e has 10 wounds (5 models x 2 wounds per model) A Bladeguard Veteran Squad in 9e has 9 wounds (3 models x 3 wounds per model) This is close enough to say the wounds should match in Apocalypse as well (2/4).

Bladeguard Veteran Squads in 9e have 1 better Ld than Intercessors, so they should in Apocalypse as well, taking them from 6 => 7.

Bladeguard Veteran Squads in 9e have the same base save as Intercessor Squads, but they also have Storm Shields. By looking at the Storm Shield rules for Terminators and the Siege Shield rules for Vindicators, the save in Apocalypse should be improved by 1, from 6+ => 5+. This is the same reasoning we used for the Relic Shield for the Primaris Captain.

Heavy Bolt Pistols

We are reusing the same profile we built for Assault Intercessors.

Master-crafted Power Sword

There is not a clear equivalent to this weapon in Apocalypse. Rather than trying to devise a formula to produce a profile, we have chosen to reuse the "Deathwatch Melee Weapons" profile for simplicities sake.

Power Level

Bladeguard Veteran Squads and Intercessor Squads have the same PL in 9e, so we will use the same PL in Apocalypse as well (6/12).
