While they do seem to help for some people (probably in reducing the amount of blue light that hits their eyes?), headlights are more than just blue light!

Turns out they are only running 1/2 duty cycle! I tried running these myself with full power and they had no problems blocking tesla headlights head on. Powerful but dangerous.
Here is RC curve from running current through 20 ohm resistor. Top value corresponds to 5mA and it takes 275us to settle. Tau is 55us
