Presets

Noisedeck comes with a number of presets by default, and you can save, load, share and delete your own custom settings.

Some things to be aware of:

  • For now, presets are only saved to your browser's localStorage. If you change browsers or clear your site data, you may lose your presets!
  • Presets using custom files that you loaded via GIF Buddy, Magic Mashup or Pixy are unable to reload those custom files
  • Presets that use the camera module or the second post module will not load properly if the modules are disabled in user settings
  • Presets made with the pro version of Noisedeck will only be viewable by other pro users

Loading Presets

You can load saved presets by using the 📖 button on the global controls to open the preset loading menu. Select a preset using the preset dropdown menu.

The small 🎲 button will select a random preset.

You can delete presets by selecting one with the dropdown menu, toggling the 'confirm delete' checkbox, and clicking 'delete'. Please note that the preset defaults that come with Noisedeck cannot be deleted.

Saving Presets

You can save presets by using the ★ button on the global controls to open the preset saving menu. Presets are given a randomized name by default - feel free to edit this to something more meaningful to you. If a preset already exists with the name you have chosen, you'll need to check the 'confirm overwrite' checkbox in order to save it. Click 'save' when you're finished to save the new preset.

You can share settings and presets by using the 'copy url' button (and also with the 'share url' button, which appears if the Web Share API is supported by your device/browser). Using one of these buttons copies a preset URL for you to share. Visiting a preset URL will load its settings into Noisedeck, allowing you to recreate or share compositions.
