Gamification

The purpose of this wikipage is to detail some principles of gamification from our studies and how we will apply it to Edacio.

Actions

The users have 6 actions they can take. Each action is rewarded within the game:

  1. Learn Learning is done through short tutorials to enhance the user's social and networking skills. They can focus anywhere from greetings and how to stay in touch, to making cold calls and finding pain points.
  2. View The user is able to view profiles within their networks and staying up to date with publicly available information.
  3. Organize/Build The user is able to drag and arrange contacts within the battle map in the form of small labeled networks and identify their importance of staying in touch.
  4. Greet The user is able to greet contacts directly via email or messaging, and can see the last time they were in contact with them visually. Greeting actions can include phone calls, office visits, coffee meetups, etc. and can be updated by the user.
  5. Update The user will have the ability to identify questions that the their contacts can answer, and will be reminded, and can update the answers as they learn more.
  6. Compare The user is able to generate sets of questions that apply broadly to a specific category and can
