The official "unofficial" Home Assistant Android TV companion app that displays pop up activity notifications, can display a Home Assistant Dashboard and MQTT custom notifications.
You can use this application to display notifications from Home Assistant. An overlay with the message content will appear for a configurable amount of seconds and then disappear again. Sending images and video feeds from a security cam and custom icons are supported too. Icons are essentially the same as images (any image format supported by Android TV is supported)
The notifications are in the global scope of your Android TV device. They will be displayed regardless of which application is running.
To make the most of the application it is recommended that you have some of the following integrations installed:
