Questions to Ask Yourself as an Organizer

We encourage every chapter of NodeSchool to customize the code of conduct in ways that make sense for them. Here are some things to consider:

Is it clear what I, as an attendee, should do if I experience harassment? Would I know who to go to and feel safe doing so?
Do all of my volunteers understand how to support this policy?

It's not enough to have a anti-harassment policy—people have to be familiar with and live by it.

Include a link to your policy on your registration page and in email communication
Make sure your event volunteers stand out as a resource—T-shirts, badges, hats, balloons, something.
