Walter "Nuggets" Nelson (October 4, 1744 – December 23, 1813) was a Miner, and one of the discoverers of Noroware. Walter lead the way in gold products, producing a variety of golden wares that were sold and shipped around the world. Walter's love for gold drove him mad, as he spent most his time in The Mine of Twin Peaks. His specialty was forging golden cubes, some of which he hid around the city, a tradition that is carried on by many of his descendants.

After depleting all of Twin Peaks' gold, Walter traded the land for Springfield in 1812. Walter Nelson changed his last name to Nuggets, and forced his children to do the same. His name changed, but his love for gold did not. Walter continued to mine for gold, create gold cubes, and even hire a fleet of miners to help dig. Their personal diaries record Walter's reputation as being a tyrant, and in some cases inhuman. He died a year later. Although there is no proof, it is rumored he fell into a pit of lava.
