MOGL

Michael's Online Game of Life (simply abbreviated "MOGL") is a multiplayer server for Minecraft Java Edition.

Generally categorized in the "city-roleplay" genre, MOGL allows players to engage in pseudo-realistic activities such as business, crime, and government as they navigate virtual lives. It is a sandbox game, with no predetermined goal and ample degrees of freedom in its features.

While the game takes place in unmodified Minecraft, it is enhanced through its extensive use of custom plugins, textures, and models.

The most advanced game of life in Minecraft, MOGL incorporates elements of GTA and The Sims but offers much, much more. Create a business empire, become a crime lord, or run for Mayor. Build your own home, roleplay with friends, and uncover the secrets of our world!

Origin and Development

While its clearest inspirations are Grand Theft Auto and The Sims, MOGL has been inspired by a number of other games, including Super Mario Brothers, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, and Dark Souls. Its name is a reference to its creator, Michael, and a play on words of "mogul".

Development of MOGL began informally many years ago. However, it can be generally divided into two eras: "Beta" and "Pre-Release". Development continues today.
