Day 9 - nikkiverre/Teacup_Firmware GitHub Wiki

I am not bragging but my friends thought I was pretty cool back in my middle school days because I owned a flip phone… not just any flip phone but a flip phone with a video camera! But of course, that lasted about 3 months… and then everyone had a cell phone with a video camera. And then shortly after that, came the Razr… and then I definitely wasn't that cool anymore. Anyway, whether it was Duck Hunt, a digital camera, or a smart phone…I loved getting something that was new and exciting. And the 3D printer is no different. I finally received the Ordbot Hadron 3D printer on Thursday.

Eventually, we are going to have to disassemble the brains of the Ordbot so we can test out our Teensy 3D printer controller on it... But until then, I thought I would have a little fun with the Ordbot. So I rolled up my sleeves, screwed a couple of things, plugged a few wires, and got the finished result as shown above. Beautiful, right?
Now, all I needed to do was to plug in the power, use Repetier Host to control the Ordbot, and watch it do its thing. Except...

I grabbed the power supply provided in the kit to plug into the outlet and then it sorta came apart. The power supply and the plug seemed a bit poorly made. But not only that... the interesting thing was that the plug has "250V" written on it. You might be able to see that if you make the picture bigger.
So, anyway I decided to go ahead and wait until this week when I was gonna be back at work to find a power supply that will work with the Ordbot.
But, what I would have liked to have done is to connect Repetier Host and control the X, Y, Z axis of the Ordbot using the Manual Tab that I have been talking about the past couple of days. I also might have liked to watch it 3D print something live. Well, it gives me a little time now to come up with what the first 3D print should be. If you guys have any ideas on what to print, let me know!
Until next time....
