Lab6 Task:

Implement a client application for your video data, where the features, key frame and metadata is extracted and sent over to Storm using Kafka.

Approach:

As part of our project we have implemented the application on both image and video data. Both the formats of the data are sent to the consumer from the producer using kafka.

At storm we are performing the key features and frames extraction.

• The bolt performs the key features extraction on the image data (here the image is a student image) received from the spout.

• The generated key features from the image data is used as a training data set.

• The video data is used as test data, based on the key features generated from the images the bolt performs SIFT-Key features matching to the frames produced from the video data there by achieving the face identification and recognition.
