Uploading character set file

To upload you need a FTDI cable like this: http://store.diydrones.com/FTDI_Cable_3_3V_p/ttl-232r-3v3.htm

1./ Preparing:

After you connect it, open the latest Config Tool, and select the right port.

Be sure that bough side of MinimOSD is powered. Otherwise it will not take.

2./ Uploading:

Click on "Options" menu and choose "Update charset".

The charset file is located in Config. Tool directory. (.mcm) MinimOSD will show the version of your charset on boot (current is 2.4.1.4)

NOTE: Main firmware from don't support font uploading! You should use Character_Updater firmware instead.

1. Select "Read for OSD" button to make sure you've got your current config.
2. File Menu - Save OSD settings
3. Options Menu - Ensure MavLink mode is not selected
4. Options Menu - Update Firmware
5. Select file "Character_Updater_FW.hex" - this Character_Updater binary file
6. Options Menu - Update CharSet
7. Select the CharSet file you want to load, not this takes a long time!
8. Options Menu - Update Firmware
9. Select the firmware file you want, latest release is "MinimOsd_Extra_Uni.934DV-MAVLINK-release.hex"
10. File Menu - Load OSD settings and reload the settings you saved.
