DHCP is Down Lab - nicholaslamon/SYS255 GitHub Wiki

This weeks lab was pretty tricky because we didn't have a lot of guidance. Our DHCP server was "stolen" and we had to configure our file server (fs01) to become the new DHCP server. The big difference between the original DHCP server and fs01, is that dhcp01 was a linux box running centos7, while the fs01 box is running windows.

All of the configuration was done through our domain controller (ad01). We had to install the DHCP role onto fs01, and then install the remote management tools for dhcp on ad01. This allowed us to configure fs01 as a DHCP server and set up the IP ranges as well as lease times.
