The Research Influence Model (RIM) project aims at documenting "influencedBy" relationships between different scientific projects and researchers. Because there are many information sources where "influencedBy" relationships can be derived (e.g., citation graphs), RIM supports a a pluggable architecture where a variety of sources can be integrated. You might have a source that provides "influencedBy" links derived from twitter feeds, website access statistics, software downloads statistics, technical forum threads, etc, and these sources should be easily integrated into RIM.

Because RIM is incipient, we have only identified the first task: bootstrap an RDF dataset of existing [XML award data](NSF Award Data) from which to link up.
