    • We like to see price move 2 to 3 times the height of the order block, and then a retracement to enter a trade.
    • As order blocks are created, we can move our entry limits to the new order block. Don't chase though.

    • Institutional Order block, stop runs, when price dips below/above the old high/low of the institutional order block.
    • When price moves and returns to a key level of S/R sweep and fail to keep going, generally a sign of a stop run and price will move in the opposite direction. Price is being engineered to take stops and then run on liquidity.

    • Retail traders don't move the marketplace
    • The price falls due to SM not buying.
    • This is a big red neon sign flashing, pay attention, find institutional order block the next price swing will be anchored too. The market is getting ready to move.

    • ES Charting, because we have identified the market is likely to be choppy, we are learning how frustrating it can be looking for our objectives, we should sit on hands, market is going to be very fickle.
    • Moves in our direction, then more retracement than we can endure, then move again in our favor, then pull back, then move again in our favor, then fail. The market is offering both sides but failing to make any sustained move in a direction.

    • Draw on Liquidity
    • Not important the price trades into liquidity or higher/lower, it just has to move towards the liquidity. This is why it's called a draw on liquidity. For trades we only need price to be drawn to liquidity.

    • Once we've arrived at directional bias and dynamic S/R levels on Weekly/Daily/4H, we can work off 1H chart.
    • Using S/R, swings, Fibs on 1H.
    • We manage trades on 15m/5m.
    • Keep a log and a journal to improve.
    • Look at Daily/4H for MSS.
      • Once MSS we know direction to trade in.
    • Watch 1H chart during week for Swings and possible entries.
    • Setting stop 10pips past 2nd swing low/high in price leg.
      • If bullish 2 swing lows below spot.
      • If bearish 2 swing highs above spot.
      • Can trail stops by 2 swings + 10 pips as price moves in our direction.
      • Use 15m chart for this.

    • When market is consolidating, a price run will happen between 10:50 - 11:10 macro will run to stimulate sentiment into lunch hour.
    • Lunch hour can be a pause and continuation of trending day, reversal, or chop in range.
    • Doesn't matter what lunch is going to be, 10:50-11:10 will price will move, likely to move towards liquidity that has not been tapped yet.

    • If we suspect the market is going to be problematic and hard to read, due to some major event, we can look for trades from 07:00 - 08:30 window. If the market structure is good we can use this window to begin our trade and roll into the day.
    • Watch out for major events like NFP that will wreck your account.
    • Closing price at 17:00 - Open price at 18:00 is NDOG, keep these levels on the chart throughout the day.
      • The algo will reference NDOG, note price runs in KZs, note 07:00.
    • Symmetrical Market is where we have low then lower low in ES, and is matched in YM/NQ and DXY has higher high we are symmetrical markets are correlated. If there is a crack in correlation, the market is telling us a sentiment shift is unfolding.
    • Each market is running on it's own algo, when they are manipulated, it is the signal that it's time to shift sentiment.
    • Reverse for bullish
    • Remember ES, NQ, YM are positively correlated (moves the same way) , DXY is negatively correlated (moves inversely).

  • Market Review \ February 09, 2023

    • When we trade into a VI or other PD Array and take liquidity (raid with spike/wick) just past the POI, we are looking for price to respect the POI and no return into a level that price has already hit in the POI.
    • We want to see the POI respected after the raid, price can trade to the POI or POI CE but not past the raid candle high.
    • The turning point is confirmed when the candle fails to move past the prior candles and fails to touch the POI.
    • And the the turning point confirmation candle is traded past by the next candle. e.g. if bearish, a candle will raid the POI, then the next candle(s) will not make it past the CE of POI. Then the next candle(s) will not be able to make it past the failed swing candle and will not be able to breach the POI. Then the next candle(s) will move lower and trade past the prior candles and a STL. This confirms the price move lower.
    • Reverse for bullish.
    • Look for MSS.
    • After confirmation, trade entry on contrary candles.

    • Bullish PA swing low then swing high taken, and price drops off before big move up.

    • What is actually happening in that pull back?

      • HFT is hammering orders, but this is not the cause of the market going higher.
      • It's just volume, the IPDA is what controls price, it will start spooling, not due to the HFT orders.
      • When price is spooling it's constantly offering one sided price action, buy, buy,buy... or sell, sell, sell...

    • When there is a short stubby little wick, compared to candle size, many times we will find that type of low will get probed without going past, it may trade right to it just below and then retrace, and at a later time come back and trade past the stubby wick low.
    • When the wicks are long or larger than the body, price will often hit the CE of the wick and pull back quickly.
    • If price can't make the wick CE it's a good sign the market will make a bigger move.

    • We don't know what Sunday will open price will be, we can't know the price of Sunday Open.
    • If we expect a lower price we look for a gap lower at open, then rally into the gap, then willingness to go lower, and leave reql on Monday, can expect news driver to rush to the level of reql if the reql are still intact before the news event.
    • Reverse for bullish.
    • Consider previous session close and current open, they are true liquidity voids.
