Meetings
Organizing a meeting
If you need to book a room, you can do so for the MPR (our meeting room) via a calender [email protected]. For more rooms, check https://resourcebooker.maastrichtuniversity.nl/
Group meetings
This is our main and regular group meeting, usually at Friday 11:30. During these weekly meetings, we each present one slide on our progress and goals. Ideally, your slide sparks some discussion. We encourage you to use any kind of visuals. Are you running some analysis? Did you make a new plot? Or did something not work? Were you delayed? Anything on your mind may be added to your slide. If you have something bigger, there is time available at the end of the meeting for more comprehensive presentation.
Journal club
We used to have journal club, but due to limited availability and time we currently hold no journal club.
Division III Colloquia
Every Friday from 09:00-10:30 division III holds a lecture where 2 PhD students, post-docs or PI present their research. Attendance is compulsory for PhD students. The information is send around by Rachelle via the division III mailing list.
MHeNS translational lecture
Every month, MHeNs holds lecture with drinks afterwards. These lectures are often given by invited researcher from outside of Maastricht. Attendance is expected, and definitely worth your time. Invitations are send around by MHeNs and you usually need to register.
PhD Meeting (Functional Neurosurgery)
If your project is part of the functional neurosurgery section (working with sEEG or DBS), you will attend a monthly meeting where one or more PhD students present their work and there is a discussion among PhD and Master students. Contact Kim Rijkers ([email protected]) or Ali Jahanshahi ([email protected]) for being added to the mailing list.
