   • parametrized neuron and connection generation such that
     • random distributions can be handed in directly
     • scaling and shifting can be done mathematically intuitive 3+4.2*nest.random.exponental(..) including basic functions taking distributions as parameters.
     • spatial parameters available for modification of random distributions
   • benchmarked node creation and connection times with different types and numbers of parameters
4. Review of NEST User Mailing List
   • PR for NEST on Mac documentation ongoing #1204
   • modification of back-end parameters will be discussed on Hackathon
5. Review of open Github Pull Request
   • checked all PRs to go into NEST-2.18.0
   • deprecate iaf_psc_alpha_canon and replace with _ps models in NEST-3, with corresponding porting documentation.
   • code style PR will go in last before 2.18.0.
6. Review of open Github Issues
   • will be done offline during the ongoing Hackathon
