Looper - neothermic/theatrix GitHub Wiki

Installation:

Begin with a fresh install of Raspbian Jessie. Set the hostname to follow the Theatrix naming convention (DO NOT USE theatrix1, apart from on main ftp master server). Be sure to enable SSH access.

Run the inst_network.sh script to quickly set up wifi connections - from this point on you should be able to use this unit headless. ~/theatrix/config_files/inst_network.sh sudo reboot now

If you have already set up the primary FTP server, ensure it is online, then run the installlooper.sh script. Theatrix1 must be active as the primary FTP server, as during this process public/private key pairs will be generated and installed for future use. ~/theatrix/relaytv/installlooper.sh

You will be asked to confirm the hostname of the unit you are setting up. Use default locations for SSH keys and do not set a passphrase. You will also be asked to specify a target folder for the unit you are setting up. Each looper checks its target folder on startup for new/discarded content and synchronises accordingly. Multiple units may share a target folder.

That's it! The next time the unit reboots it will run the looper automatically. To check up on it, use screen -x loop
