This document describes the monitoring system for the different NDEx Servers.

We use a cloud-based monitoring system called site24x7.

Dexter is the Account Manager, Rudi is Admin, David and Jing are listed as contacts but have no access privileges.

As of October 28, 2014, we are monitoring:

* Test Server
* Test Server-Status
* Production Server
* Production Server-Status

This layout allows us to monitor both the front end dispayed on the web browser and the activity of the REST server and Orientdb.

  • Rudi and Dexter will be notified in case any of the four monitors fail.
  • David and Jing will be notified only in case either one of the Production Servers fail.
  • Notification control is achieved by using different GROUPS MEMBEBRSHIP for the different team members.
  • Notifications are sent by email only.
