9.2 Test with multicast snooping disabled

Let's connect to W01 and use iperf to generate 226.1.1.1 multicast. multicastnetwork Then let's have a look at interface statistics. multicastnetwork

  • a Select IF tab
  • b Multiple select ports P01, P02, P03
  • c Push statistics button
  • d Select only columns you want to display
  • e Select delta/s display. It will display a variation/s instead of absolute counters.
  • f Push to set the time origin for the variation/s calculation.
  • g Refresh regularly
  • You can see that traffic entering into P01 port: 12428 byt/s (h) is flooded both to P02 port 12429 byt/s (m) and P03 port 12429 byt/s (n)
