Joining the conversation
There are a few ways to reach out to developers. Most people just post here on Github with an Issue to start, or on the /r/homebrewery subreddit. If you need to have a direct conversation, Gitter and Discord are options as well.
The /r/homebrewery subreddit is a good place to ask questions. There is also an option to message the mods in that subreddit if you have account issues.
Discord of Many Things
The Discord of Many Things server has allowed us to take a small corner of their server, which is primarily dedicated to D&D 5e content but has opened up recently to all things TTRPG. The Homebrewery has a channel group there, and we are also active in the unattached #formatting
channel.
Matrix.org / Element / Gitter
The regular contributors generally chat through an app called Element, which is a front-end for a protocol called Matrix, hosted by a server/provider called Gitter.
Here is a quick overview of Matrix.org. Just know that when it talks about selecting a provider
, the provider we use is Gitter-- you want to choose that as your home server.
