Rename Action - natanfudge/Cloak GitHub Wiki
One of Cloak's primary features is to be able to rename Minecraft identifiers while viewing them. The process is simple:
- Find an element you want to rename in the external Minecraft source.
- Right click and select
rename
(or press the hotkey while the cursor is on the element). - Enter a new name for the element, and optionally an explanation for why the change was made.
After confirming, Cloak will attempt to apply the change visually. Currently this is done by abusing folding, but a stronger solution will come at some point. Cloak will also activate special highlighting over the elements, showing you their renaming progress, such as - unnamed
, named without javadoc
, etc. You can turn off (or on) this highlighting with Tools -> Fabric -> Activate/Deactivate Mapping Highlighting
.
When you are satisfied with your changes, the next step is to submit mappings.
