Summary

In this lab we were introduced to Packet Tracer. Packet tracer is a program for simulating networks before buying hardware. In Packet Tracer you can deploy many different types networking devices and connect them in many different ways. This is especially good for showing any faults or problems in a network.

How do you deploy workstations and switches in Packet Tracer?

To deploy a workstation you select from the device from the bottom row and click on the white work space and it will deploy.

How do connect these devices with cables?

To Connect these devices you have to select the connectivity category (lightning bolt) and click on the workstation and choose an input, then choose and input on the switch.

How do you access the command-line terminal on a Packet Tracer PC?

To open the command-line terminal in packet tracer you must open the PC, click on the desktop tab, then the command prompt line.
