Summary

In this lab we learned how to create vlans in packet tracer. We did this by configuring each switch and adding the vlan. then we connected the switches through their Gigabit ethernet ports which we set to trunk.

How do you create a VLAN on a switch?

You can create a VLAN by going to the Config section of a switch. Then to vlan database. You then add a number and a name and select add. This will add the vlan

How do you configure an access port on a switch?

You can configue an access port by selecting the physical port. Then click on the dropdown menu on the right side. this will bring a list of added vlans.

How do you configure a trunk port on a switch?

you configue a trunk port by selecting a port. Then select the dropdown on the left side where it says access. Select trunk.
